Simon Walker, from Redcar, is the proud owner of the car registration P9RMO, which he is hoping might just make him a tasty profit.

The 38-year-old refrigeration engineer bought the rights to the plate for £250, and he is currently auctioning it off on eBay where he says he is open to offers.

Simon, from Cayton Close, said: “I seemed to see a lot about parmos in the media one week, and I was just messing around on the internet when I noticed the plate was available.

“I wondered if it was still on the website, and when I looked it was there for £250, so on the spur of the moment I bought it.

“My wife Rachel said ‘I can’t believe you’ve bought that’ and she said ‘you’re not putting it on the car’ so I thought fair enough, I’ll sell it.

“But people I’ve shown it to think it’s brilliant. They say how much did you pay for that? And when I tell them they can’t believe it. It looks brilliant.”
