We
have been selling private plates for many years now and have dealt with many
famous names and well known personalities from Sport, TV/Film, Radio, Music
DJ's, as well as several lottery winners.
We have had some great times meeting some very interesting characters!
Lynne Perrie (Ivy
from Coronation Street) bought a reg with her initials LP' from us. "The
Prince" Naseem Hamed
bought the ultimate NAS' number, he was fantastic fun and a proper
gentleman. Nigel Raffterty (Midlands
heavyweight champ & record holder for a number of fights) had A4FFO (RAFFO).
Frank Bruno pondered along with Barry McGuigan
and few other famous fighters (we used to advertise in the Boxing News).
Many many famous footballers have bought private
plates from us, the most famous footballer of modern times, the man himself
Mr.Beckham was very interested in a number we
owned 7 B' but never actually bought it. Kevin Keegan bought a handful for
his wife & children for Christmas presents, Vinnie
Jones (VJ), Freddie Shepherd, Scott Parker
(ex-Chelsea) now of Newcastle United were amongst others. World champion
Snooker player Stevie Hendry bought a nice SM number,
Declan Donnelly recently had a DD number (Ant & Dec)
and Benetton F1 Boss Flavio
Briatore bought himself a great FB registration
plate for his Merc SL55 AMG. Jockey - Richard
Hobson, Elizabeth Hurley bought a number for her then boyfriend Hugh Grant.
Private plates have
been made famous by famous people like Jimmy Tarbuk with COM 1C, Paul
Daniels with MAG 1C, Norman Wisdom with 1 NW, Business
Tycoon, Alan Sugar with AMS 1, Stirling Moss with SM 7, Princess Ann did
have ANN 1 but was sold due to security reasons. Mayoral cars have also had
some great private plates.
