Why is there an extra £80 fee?
This is the mandatory fee for assigning a registration. In order to take a registration mark off a vehicle and put it on another vehicle the cost if £80. Whenever removing (Retaining) a private number from a vehicle £80 is payable. All new car reg marks supplied on DVLA Certificate means the £80 is pre-paid and no further payment is required when assigning on to a vehicle.
