At CarReg, legal compliance, transparency and consumer protection are not optional extras — they are fundamental to how we operate.
Our Legal Compliance Guarantee formally sets out the standards, procedures and protections that apply to every registration number bought, sold or manufactured through CarReg.
This guarantee applies to all clients of CarReg UK and reflects our commitment to operating in full accordance with UK law, DVLA regulations and British standards.
1. DVLA Registration & Regulatory Compliance
CarReg operates as a DVLA registered number plate supplier and adheres strictly to all DVLA regulations governing:
- The sale and transfer of registration numbers
- Retention and assignment processes
- Documentation handling
- Identity and entitlement verification
- Display regulations
All registration numbers sold through CarReg are verified as transferable in accordance with DVLA rules at the time of transaction.
We do not facilitate or promote any transaction that breaches DVLA policy or UK road traffic law.
2. British Standard Plate Manufacturing
All physical number plates supplied by CarReg are manufactured in accordance with current UK British Standard requirements, including;
- Approved materials
- Correct character spacing and sizing
- Mandatory markings and supplier identification
- Reflective standards
We will not manufacture or supply plates that are illegal for road use.
