DVLA to Release 230,000 New A–H Number Plates on 6 October
The DVLA is set to release around 230,000 previously unissued number plates on Tuesday 6 October, giving motorists the chance to secure a brand-new registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
The latest DVLA release covers registrations beginning with the letters A to H, with prices starting from around £299 and rising to £1,999 and beyond for some of the more desirable combinations.
230,000 Previously Unissued Registrations
Unlike many registrations already available on the private market, these numbers have never previously been issued.
The release includes a huge range of combinations, giving buyers the opportunity to search through the available registrations and look for something that matches their initials, name, business, car or simply a number they like.
There are also plenty of interesting combinations involving 30, 31 and 33, including registrations such as:
- A30 AMG – £1,799
- A31 BBY - £1,799
- B31 RTS - £599
- D31 AML - £799
- G33 BOB - £1,299
- D33 DJB – £999
With prices starting at approximately £299, there could be plenty of options for buyers looking for a personalised number plate without spending thousands.
It is also worth noting the prices vary amongst the same letter combinations, for example with "AMS", A30 AMS is priced at £999, yet G30 AMS is just £599, making some options more affordable and appealing than others.
First Come, First Served
The new registrations will be available from Tuesday 6 October and, importantly, availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you already have a particular combination in mind, it's worth checking as soon as the release becomes available.
