Will 3D or 4D plates pass MOT and ANPR?

Yes – provided they meet the latest BSAU 145e standard. The characters must be solid black, with correct spacing, size, reflective background and BS mark. If your plates meet those requirements and are made by a registered supplier, they’ll pass both MOT and be easily be recognised by ANPR.
