My number plates were stolen – what should I do?
Report the theft to the police and obtain a crime reference number, then maybe inform your insurance company. After that, you can order new plates from an RNPS-registered supplier, but you’ll need proof of identity and entitlement (such as your V5C, V750/V778). Always buy plates from approved sellers, as they will only provide ones which conform to British standards and legal requirements.
