Can I put a newer-age registration on an older vehicle?
No, you can’t make a vehicle look younger than it really is. The DVLA doesn’t allow a registration mark that shows a newer age identifier than the vehicle’s original year. For example, you can’t display a “24” or “74” plate on a 2022 car. However, you can put an older issue plate on a newer vehicle.
