Who can legally make number plates and what ID do you need?

Only suppliers registered with the DVLA’s RNPS (Register of Number Plate Suppliers) can legally make UK number plates. You must show proof of entitlement (V5C, V750, V778 or V948/eV948) and proof of identity, such as a driving licence or passport. CarReg’s plate production facility is fully DVLA-registered.
